final TWO performances!

Fall is here and there are only two more project cincinnatUS performances!

project cincinnatUS has brought artists, performers, and facilitators from all over the country to collaborate with Cincinnati-based students, teachers, artists, and community members. Together, we've made street theater in Findlay Market, danced to Michael Jackson in Fountain Square, played music on rooftops along Main Street, and created performances about the politics of changing neighborhoods on Jackson Street. Come out and get involved in this last two projects!

1. "the question cart":

During the week of October 11-15, we'll be doing a exciting project in collaboration with three interdisciplinary artists from Philadelphia, New York, and Nashville. We'll be constructing a mobile video interview booth on a bike trailer and riding it around over-the-rhine. We'll invite people to enter the booth and talk about how they feel about the changes taking place in their neighborhood. The project was inspired by sidewalk conversations I've had with people in OTR this summer in which they've expressed some deep anger towards the ways in which OTR is changing. While I think this anger is expressed within various communities, spaces, and circles, I feel that the complexity and extent of this anger isn't being expressed and circulated amongst broader communities in Cincinnati. After a week of riding around and collecting testimonials, we'll be showing a short film made from the footage by projecting it onto the wall behind the new Artworks building (20 East Central Parkway) as part of the Marburg Collective's "Autumn Jubilation" at 8:30 pm on Saturday, October 16th.

Check back for updates as the project happens!
